Edge copy & paste adds a hidden ASCII character Often I have an opportunity to copy and test a piece of code. When I do this from a forum, using Edge, and then paste in my editing software, Visual Studio attempts to build the code only to find there is a hidden ASCII code 225 ( HEX E1 ) inserted by Edge at the end of every line. Often I have an opportunity to copy and test a piece of code. When I do this from a forum, using Edge, and then paste in my editing software, Visual Studio attempts to build the code only to find there is a hidden ASCII code 225 ( HEX E1 ) inserted by Edgeat the end of every line.First, I tried two different editors with the same result. Then, I tried copying the code using Internet Explorer and did NOT add that character. I could paste it into my editor and all works perfectly. Is there a setting I can use to stop this annoying behavior in Edge?
The careful process of testing and elimination clearly shows this is an Edge issue.
